Nordea AM makes double hire to sustainable thematic team

Nordea Asset Management has appointed Kasper From Larsen and Rachel Reutter (pictured) to its sustainable thematic team.

Larsen has joined as a portfolio manager, bringing nearly two decades of experience in equity research and portfolio management.

For the past 11 years, he was a portfolio manager at Danske Bank Asset Management. Throughout his career, Larsen has focused on energy transition linked sectors including utilities, renewables and capital goods.

Reutter has also joined the team as a portfolio manager, with 20 years of experience. Her focus will be on impact strategies, including the Nordea 1 – Global Impact Fund. Prior to joining NAM, Reutter worked at at JO Hambro Capital Management for 13 years.

Both new hires will report to Thomas Sørensen and Henning Padberg, co-heads of the sustainable thematic team.

The appointments bring the team up to 15 investment professionals, including eight portfolio managers, as well as impact specialists and engagement professionals.

Sørensen said: “Kasper and Rachel bring complementary skill sets and a shared commitment to high-quality sustainable investing. Their extensive experience and strong analytical capabilities will reinforce the team’s ability to deliver long-term, impact-driven results for our clients.”
