Assent Launches Platform to Help Suppliers Manage Sustainability Data Requests

Supply chain sustainability management solutions provider Assent announced the launch of the Assent Sustainability Platform (ASP), a new toolset aimed at enabling suppliers to manage high volumes of sustainability data request, in order to help streamline compliance reporting and declarations for across company value chains.

Ottawa-based Assent provides systems to help manufacturers collect and manage the supply chain data needed to meet environmentally and socially responsible product standards and regulations.

According to Assent, the new solution will help to overcome key obstacles to supplier engagement by providing a centralized platform enabling suppliers to quickly and securely share sustainability and product compliance data with multiple customers, while also eliminating duplication of redundant processes.

Key features of the new platform include the ability to manage compliance and sustainability requests through a single dashboard, sharing of data with multiple customers simultaneously, and enhanced product requests and compliance workflows with real-time updates​.

Assent said that more than 500 suppliers are using the platform through early access, and that they are reporting benefits including a 92% time-savings when responding to customer requests, and the ability to complete 13 times more declarations with the same level of effort.
