Aegon AM’s Beacham becomes chair of IA Stewardship Committee
Aegon Asset Management’s Miranda Beacham has been appointed chair of the Investment Association’s Stewardship Committee, after Paras Anand stepped down.
The UK head of responsible investment at Aegon AM will help shape industry policy matters that impact IA members’ stewardship activities and responsibilities, including input on consultations and developing guidance on topics such as corporate governance, audit and executive remuneration, and share capital management.

Beacham commented: “I’m honoured to take on this role and look forward to working with colleagues across the industry to strengthen stewardship practices. By shaping policy and promoting best standards, we can help ensure that investors’ responsibilities are met in a way that delivers long-term value for clients and supports well-functioning markets.”
The IA said Beacham is replacing Anand who exited his role as chief investment officer (CIO) of Artemis earlier this year after three years.
Meanwhile, Aegon AM’s global CIO has also joined the IA Investment Committee, and the group’s UK CEO, Kirstie MacGillivray is also a member of the IA board.
