Low Carbon Investment Management Appoints Annabel Wiscarson as New CEO

Global renewable energy company Low Carbon announced today the appointment of Annabel Wiscarson as CEO of its Low Carbon Investment Management arm. Wiscarson will sit on the Low Carbon Board and report to founder and Chief Executive Roy Bedlow.

Founded in 2011, Low Carbon invests in, develops, and operates solar, wind, energy storage, and energy from waste projects across the UK, Europe, and North America.

Wiscarson joins Low Carbon after serving as Global Head of Investor Relations at Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), with responsibilities including fundraising, client service and product development. Prior to joining GIP, she established and ran IFM Investors’ Global Relationship Group in Europe, after beginning her career at Macquarie.

Wiscarson said:

“Throughout my career I have worked on Infrastructure investment strategies that aim to meet investors’ needs deploying capital in vital infrastructure assets all over the world. Joining Low Carbon is a chance for me to apply this experience to building a world powered by clean energy.”

The announcement follows Low Carbon’s recent appointment of Neil Brown as Head of Capital Formation, responsible for building and deepening relationships with investors globally, to help achieve Low Carbon’s ambition to deploy large-scale capital into renewables.

Roy Bedlow, founder and Chief Executive of Low Carbon, said:

“Low Carbon exists to fight climate change and we are determined to play a key role in the energy transition required in this decisive decade for the planet. I am delighted that Annabel has chosen to join our purpose-driven company, and alongside Neil Brown and our Chairman Brian Clarke, we have the wealth of experience to match investor needs to the delivery of renewables at scale.”
