Quilter first wealth manager to screen National Emergency Briefing film

Last week, Quilter became the first wealth manager to host a screening of the National Emergency Briefing’s film to coincide with London Climate Action Week, PA Future has learned.

In November 2025, the National Emergency Briefing brought together leading experts to present the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis to politicians and other influential people in Westminster, which it used to create a 50-minute film presented by Chris Packham, titled the People’s Emergency Briefing.

Quilter’s screening took place at its London head office, with all its employees invited to attend. After the screening, Quilter hosted a discussion with its employees, members of its responsible investment teams, and external guests to reflect on how the finance industry is responding to climate change and the role it can play in driving meaningful change.

Quilter said it is looking at putting on further screenings at its Southampton office, as well as exploring the possibility of showing the film to financial advisers.

Ido Eisenberg, head of responsible investment at Quilter, told PA Future: “The climate and nature crisis is a complex and evolving challenge, and films such as the National Emergency Briefing play an important role in helping people better understand the evidence and consider how they can respond.

“For us, it is also an opportunity to reflect on how these issues connect to our responsibilities as a wealth manager. Climate-related risks are material for all long-term investors, regardless of their sustainability preferences, and they impact every aspect of our activity – from our own operations, to investment research, portfolio construction and how we manage risk, both internally and on behalf of our clients.

“By bringing colleagues and external voices together, we hope to encourage a thoughtful and informed discussion about the role the financial services industry can play in supporting the transition, while continuing to deliver good outcomes for investors. We hope this will be the first of many screenings in the sector.”

Simon Oldridge, co-founder of the National Emergency Briefing, added: “We are delighted that Quilter hosted a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing at its London headquarters, becoming the first UK wealth manager to do so. The financial sector has a crucial role to play in responding to the climate and nature crisis.”
